Your product reports give you more in-depth, product-level analytics about your store. In Etsy, you can see reports on a listing level, but not on all the unique options you sell in your drop-down menus. In this article we will be going over every part of your product report dashboard.

5 Key Notes On How The ProfitTree Product Reports Page Works

  1. In this page you can see all of the sales history for each unique item you sell inside your Etsy listings

  2. Only products that sold during the time period you selected will be displayed

  3. If you use a SKU system you will see your SKU listed under the SKU column

  4. If you have multiple listings with the same SKU, your product reports will consolidate all your sales history under that single SKU so you can holistically see the performance of that unique product.

You can see a detailed report of this SKU across all listings it exists in by clicking on the product as shown below.

As you can see in the video, this unique SKU (INA12x20-WH-2408-089) exists in a total of 8 Etsy listings, and now we can see the entire sales history across all of its listings.

5. If you do not have SKUs in your Etsy account, this area will look blank. You will still be able to see your sales history for this unique product, BUT without SKUs, you will not be able to consolidate the sales history for this item if it sells across multiple listings.

Most Recent

  • At the top of your product reports, you have the option to sort by Most Recent, which will sort by all of your most recently sold products

    • Tap once to sort by most recent

    • Tap twice to sort by least recent

Best Sellers

  • The Best Sellers button will sort all of your products that have sold by which products had the most units sold

Most Profitable

    • Tap once to sort by most profitable

    • Tap twice to sort by least profitable

Keynote: Metrics such as Operating Expenses, Operating Profit, % Profit, and ROI are calculated using an average of all selling fees and shipping costs due to limitations of the Etsy API that do not allow us to associate order IDs with an exact amount for an order.

Trend Setters

  • The Trendsetters button will sort all your products by those that are seeing the biggest increase in units sold compared to the previous time period, indicating that these are HOT items to pay attention to!

    • Tap once to sort by Top Trendsetters

    • Tap twice to sort by Falling Stars

SKU

  • SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit and is a unique identification code that helps you identify your items

  • If you do not have any SKU's in your Etsy account, this area will look blank to you

COGS

  • This is your total cost of goods sold, which is the sum of your total cost of goods sold for the selected time period

    • This error message is indicating that you had sales on this unique item that are missing product costs and ProfitTree could not provide the full number calculation

    • If you see an error message like the one below, it means that you need to navigate to the Product Costs tab or tap the error icon and add the product costs for this item so that ProfitTree can start tracking the costs properly

Operating Expenses

  • This is an average of the total listing, processing, and transaction fees. It also includes an average shipping cost for each item sold.
