How does Etsy calculate refunds vs ProfitTree?
Please note: The way we display metrics are not always 100% the same way Etsy metrics are reported.
Etsy Refunds:
This $138.35 refund bucket is accounting for any refund that happened in May 2024 not including credits from sales tax or VAT
ProfitTree Refunds:
This $7.45 refund bucket is accounting for refunds on Order IDs that had sales in May 2024
We associated the refunds to the time of when the sale happened NOT when the refund happened
This also includes credits from refunds with sales tax or VAT
