Managing VAT, Invoices, and Billing Support for Your ProfitTree Subscription
ProfitTree uses Paddle as our payment provider. Because of this, VAT handling, invoice updates, billing verification, and purchase history are all managed directly by Paddle. Below is everything you need to know about VAT charges and how to manage your subscription billing details.
1. How VAT Is Applied
VAT is handled entirely by Paddle. If your country requires VAT, Paddle automatically adds it during checkout.
If you enter a valid VAT ID and it is successfully verified, Paddle will automatically remove VAT from future invoices.
VAT may still appear if:
the VAT ID is invalid or not active in the verification system
your region requires VAT regardless of exemption
the VAT ID could not be validated by Paddle at the time of purchase
2. How to Add Your VAT ID at Checkout
To avoid being charged VAT, be sure to enter your VAT ID during checkout:
Begin checkout and choose your subscription plan.
In Step 2 (payment details), locate the VAT ID field and enter your VAT number.
Make sure your VAT ID is complete and accurate.
If Paddle validates your VAT ID successfully, VAT will not be charged on future payments.
3. How to Edit Your Invoice Information (Through Paddle)
If you need to update your business details, VAT ID, or billing address, you can edit your invoice information directly through Paddle:
Paddle will send you a secure link to access and update your information.
