How We Apply Plan Changes

When you change your ProfitTree subscription plan, the update takes effect immediately, and your billing is adjusted fairly based on the time you’ve already used.

When Plan Changes Take Effect

  • Plan changes apply as soon as you confirm them

  • New features and limits are available right away

  • There is no waiting period between plans

How Billing Adjustments Work

ProfitTree uses prorated billing to ensure you only pay for what you’ve used.

  • The system calculates how many days you used your current plan

  • Any unused portion of your previous plan is credited

  • If you upgrade, you may see a charge

  • If you downgrade, a credit is applied to your account

Credits are automatically applied to future billing cycles.

Example

If you switch from an annual plan to a monthly plan partway through the year:

  • The cost of the time already used is calculated

  • The unused portion of the annual plan becomes a credit

  • That credit is applied toward future monthly payments

  • You won’t be charged again until the credit is used up

This ensures a smooth transition without double billing.

Common Questions

What if I change plans more than once?

Each plan change is prorated independently based on usage at the time of the change.

How do I know what I’ll be charged or credited?

Before confirming a plan change, you’ll see whether a charge or credit will apply.

After the change, you’ll receive an email with a detailed billing breakdown.

Summary

ProfitTree applies plan changes immediately and adjusts billing using prorated calculations. Any unused time is credited automatically, ensuring you only pay for what you use.
