How to Edit Your Existing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
If your product costs have changed or you entered incorrect COGS previously, ProfitTree makes it easy to update them. You can adjust COGS manually, edit multiple products at once, or use the bulk upload tool if your Etsy listings use SKUs.
Note:
If you sell Printify or Printful products and have connected those integrations, your COGS will be imported automatically. Manual COGS values will be overridden.
Option 1: Manual Edit or Bulk Edit
Use this method if you want to update COGS for one product or multiple listings at the same time.
Steps:
Go to COGS Management in your ProfitTree dashboard.
Use the checkboxes to select one or more products.
Enter the updated COGS value.
Save your changes.
This method supports bulk editing, making it fast to update multiple products with a single value.

Steps:
Go to the Shop section and COGS Management tab.
Select the Import COGS option.
Download the provided template.
Fill in your SKUs and COGS values.
Upload the completed file back into ProfitTree.

Option 3: Manual COGS for Non-Integrated POD Tools
If you use a POD provider that is not currently supported—such as Gelato, MyDesigns, Stadium, or similar—ProfitTree cannot auto-fetch your cost or shipping information.
In this case:
Enter your COGS manually
Include an average or worst-case shipping cost within your COGS value to maintain accurate profit reporting.
This ensures your margins reflect your true fulfillment expense.
