What If My POD Provider Is Not Printify or Printful?

This article explains how to set up Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) in ProfitTree if you use a print-on-demand provider that is not Printify or Printful.

What If My POD Provider Is Not Printify or Printful?

ProfitTree currently supports direct integrations with Printify and Printful only.

If you use a different print-on-demand (POD) provider, your products will be handled using a manual COGS workflow.

How Your Products Are Treated

When using a non-integrated POD provider:

  • Products are treated like handmade or manually fulfilled items

  • ProfitTree does not automatically import product or shipping costs

  • You are responsible for entering and maintaining accurate COGS

This is expected behavior.

How to Set Up COGS

Once your Etsy shop is connected to ProfitTree, you can add COGS using either of the following methods:

Option 1: Bulk Import (Requires SKUs)

  • Use this option if your listings include SKUs

  • Upload a spreadsheet containing your product costs

  • This is the fastest method for large catalogs

Option 2: Manual Entry

  • Add or update COGS for each product individually

  • Works with or without SKUs

  • Suitable for smaller catalogs or custom products

How to Handle Shipping Costs

ProfitTree cannot automatically collect shipping costs from non-integrated POD providers.

To maintain accurate profit tracking:

  • Include your average or worst-case shipping cost directly in your COGS

  • Update COGS if your POD pricing or shipping costs change

Summary

If your POD provider is not Printify or Printful, you can still track profit accurately in ProfitTree by manually entering COGS and including shipping costs. While direct integrations are limited, ProfitTree fully supports manual workflows for non-integrated POD providers.
