Commonly Asked Printify and Printful Integration Questions

Connecting Printify or Printful to ProfitTree ensures your COGS, shipping costs, variants, and SKUs stay accurate and up to date without manual work. Below are answers to the most common questions about how these integrations work.

How do I connect my Printify or Printful account to ProfitTree?

Go to your Integrations page inside ProfitTree and select either Printify or Printful. Click Connect and follow the prompts.

Once connected, ProfitTree automatically imports:

  • product cost (COGS)

  • shipping cost

  • variants and SKUs

  • POD order data

Can I connect multiple Printify or Printful accounts?

You can connect one Printify and one Printful account per ProfitTree shop.

If you manage multiple shops inside ProfitTree, each shop can have its own Printify and Printful integrations.

How long does sync take?

Syncing is automatic. If an Etsy order appears in Etsy before Printify or Printful creates it in their system, COGS will temporarily show as missing.

ProfitTree updates automatically as soon as your POD provider posts the order.

There is no fixed timeline because Printify/Printful determine when their API publishes the order.

Why are my Printify or Printful COGS missing or not updating?

This is normal and expected. Etsy creates the order first, and Printify/Printful may take additional time before posting it.

ProfitTree cannot match COGS until Printify or Printful publishes the order.

As soon as the POD provider posts the order, ProfitTree updates automatically.

Does Printify or Printful override manually entered COGS?

Yes. When connected, Printify and Printful automatically override any manual COGS values to ensure your data stays accurate and consistent.

Does ProfitTree automatically update shipping costs from Printify or Printful?

Yes. Both Printify and Printful shipping costs are automatically imported and included in your COGS. No manual shipping setup is needed for integrated POD providers.

Can disconnecting and reconnecting cause data loss?

No. If you disconnect, ProfitTree simply pauses automatic syncing.

When you reconnect, ProfitTree re-imports the POD data from your provider.

Note: Disconnecting enables manual COGS entry. Once reconnected, automatic COGS syncing resumes and will override manual values.

Why isn’t my Printify/Printful order data appearing in ProfitTree?

The most common reason is that the order has not yet been created inside Printify or Printful.

ProfitTree automatically updates once the POD provider publishes the order.

If the order exists in both Etsy and your POD provider but is still missing in ProfitTree, confirm that:

  • the correct Printify/Printful account is connected

  • your shop is properly linked inside ProfitTree

Can I switch between different Printify or Printful accounts?

You can change which Printify or Printful account is connected to a shop, but only one Printify and one Printful connection may be active per shop at a time.

How do shipping costs work if I use a different provider?

If you use a POD provider we do not support—such as Gelato, MyDesigns, Stadium, etc.—you must manually include average or worst-case shipping costs in your COGS.

This ensures your profit reporting stays accurate.

Will Printify or Printful override manually entered shipping costs?

Yes. Automatic shipping costs from Printify or Printful override manual values for integrated products.

What should I do if I’m having trouble integrating?

First ensure you are logged into the correct Printify or Printful account.

If issues continue, contact support with screenshots or details and we will help troubleshoot.

Can I request new integrations?

Yes. Requests for new integrations are welcome.

While only Printify and Printful are currently supported, all feature requests are logged and reviewed by the product team based on demand.
