Installing Etsy Radar

Etsy Radar requires the ProfitTree Chrome Extension.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Download the ProfitTree Chrome Extension

  2. Log into your ProfitTree account

    • Make sure this account is connected to the Etsy shop you want to analyze

  3. Log into Etsy in the same browser

    • Use the Etsy account that is synced with ProfitTree

  4. Go to any Etsy search results page

  5. Click the tree icon in the bottom-right corner of the page to activate Etsy Radar

Once activated, Etsy Radar will overlay insights directly on the search results.

Where Etsy Radar Works

Etsy Radar currently works on:

  • Etsy search results pages

It does not currently display data on:

  • Individual product listing pages

  • Etsy shop homepages

These areas may be supported in future updates.

What Etsy Radar Shows

When active, Etsy Radar displays marketplace insights directly on search results, such as:

  • Demand indicators

  • Listing visibility signals

  • Competitive context

These metrics help you quickly scan search results and identify opportunities worth deeper research.

For more detailed analysis, use Product Finder inside the ProfitTree web app.

Best Practices for Using Etsy Radar

  • Use Etsy search normally, then activate Etsy Radar to evaluate results

  • Compare multiple listings, not just one

  • Use Etsy Radar to identify ideas, then validate them in Product Finder

  • Keep your Chrome extension logged in and synced

Etsy Radar is designed for discovery and validation, not final decision-making.

Current Limitations

  • Metrics are available only on Etsy search results pages

  • Data availability depends on Etsy’s page structure and permissions

  • International sellers may see currency differences depending on Etsy settings

Summary

Etsy Radar helps you research Etsy products faster by displaying insights directly on Etsy search pages. Combined with Product Finder and other ProfitTree research tools, it allows you to explore ideas efficiently without constantly switching platforms.
