Installing Etsy Radar

Etsy Radar requires the ProfitTree Chrome Extension.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Download the ProfitTree Chrome Extension

  2. Go to Etsy and perform a Search

  3. When the search results are generated you can click on the “Open Radar” on the top right or click on the “Etsy Radar” button on the bottom right.

Where Etsy Radar Works

Etsy Radar works on Etsy search results pages and individual Etsy product pages. Eliminating the need to use Product Finder from your ProfitTree platform. Etsy Radar and Product Finder share the same data.

What Etsy Radar Shows

When active, Etsy Radar displays marketplace insights directly on search results, such as:

  • Demand indicators

  • Listing visibility signals

  • Competitive context

  • Estimated product monthly sales

  • Estimated product monthly revenue

  • Estimated product total revenue

  • Views

  • Listing age

  • Product tags

These metrics help you quickly scan search results and identify opportunities worth deeper research.

Keep in mind that Product Finder and Etsy Radar show the same data. It is just a matter of where you want to access the data from. If you are comfortable with the ProfitTree dashboard, use that. If you do not wish to open ProfitTree all the time, that is where Etsy Radar comes into play.

Best Practices for Using Etsy Radar

  • Use Etsy search normally, then activate Etsy Radar to evaluate results

  • Compare multiple listings, not just one

  • Keep your Chrome extension logged in and synced

  • Etsy Radar is designed for discovery and validation, not final decision-making.

Current Limitations

  • Data availability depends on Etsy’s page structure and permissions

  • International sellers may see currency differences depending on Etsy settings

Summary

Etsy Radar helps you research Etsy products faster by displaying insights directly on Etsy search pages. Combined with Product Finder and other ProfitTree research tools, it allows you to explore ideas efficiently without constantly switching platforms.
