ProfitTree can connect directly with Printify and Printful to accurately retrieve your Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). However, if you fulfill orders through AnywherePOD, we are currently unable to accurately detect your COGS.
Why AnywherePOD causes issues with COGS tracking
AnywherePOD acts as a middleman during the fulfillment process.
When an order is placed, AnywherePOD:
Dynamically creates a brand-new product listing
Assigns its own internal SKUs
Generates a new product inside Printify at the moment of sale
Because of this, ProfitTree cannot recognize that the item fulfilling the order originally came from your existing Printify or Printful catalog.
What this means for ProfitTree reporting
As a result:
ProfitTree cannot correctly match the fulfilled product back to your original Printify/Printful item
We are unable to accurately calculate or assign the correct COGS
Your profit and expense reporting may appear incomplete or incorrect for AnywherePOD-fulfilled orders
Recommended setup
For the most accurate ProfitTree reporting, we recommend fulfilling orders directly through Printify or Printful, without an intermediary platform that rewrites SKUs or generates new products dynamically.
